Female plug brass pipe fitting is for closing the end of a male threaded pipe or fitting. Hexagonal head shape is for increased leverage with a wrench during installation and disassembly. Female plugs brass pipe fittings is made of nickel-plated brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high tempereatures, and low magnetic permeability. Typically used in water, refrigeration, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, grease, fuels, LP and natural gas.
